Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SonicApp LTD ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you use our website and mobile applications (the "Service"). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17409733, with a registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
1. Data controller
SonicApp LTD is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy-related request, contact support@sonicapp.dev.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address and, where applicable, a hashed password.
- Payment data: billing country and transaction records. Full card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored by us.
- Usage data: features used, session length, device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports and IP address.
- Content you submit: anything you enter into an app or send to our support team.
- Enquiries: the name, email address and message you send through the contact form on this website.
3. How we use your data
- To provide, operate and improve the Service.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To respond to enquiries and support requests.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and breaches of our Terms of Service.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
4. Legal bases for processing
Under UK GDPR and, where applicable, EU GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract: processing needed to provide the Service.
- Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, and improving the Service, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation: compliance with applicable law, including tax records.
- Consent: where you have given it, for example for marketing email.
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers acting on our instructions under written data processing terms: payment processors, hosting and infrastructure providers, crash reporting and analytics tools, and email delivery services. We may also disclose data where required by law or to establish or defend legal claims, and in the event of a merger or acquisition, subject to equivalent protections.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers operate outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement, or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion we remove or anonymise your data, except where we must retain records to meet legal obligations — for example, transaction records kept for tax purposes.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@sonicapp.dev. We respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
9. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls and regular review of our providers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Cookies
This website uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Where we measure traffic, we use privacy-preserving analytics that do not set cookies or build a profile of you.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced within the Service or by email, and the "last updated" date above will change.
